“Strings and Sings” and Giving back
On Friday, July 7th, our stroke survivors and caregivers were entertained by the delightful Berwick musical group ’Strings and Sings”, with Laurel Wright leading the band. The combined ukulele players and choir singers performed a lovely variety of familiar songs that had our members singing along with them. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. We look forward to future performances from this talented group!
But wait, there’s more! The Strings and Sings band sent a very generous donation the following week, to be used towards our therapy programs. Oceanside Stroke Recovery members are grateful for their kindness and support.
Speaking of being grateful, the OSRS Caregiver Group during the last couple meetings has been helping Junes Gems by making a big batch of new price tags during the weekly meeting! As many of you know, June Wood has been generously paying for our website for these last few years. It’s nice to be able to help lighten her load. Thanks MJ for supplying the materials, and taking this great picture (see below)!
