Pick-up at Express Custom Mfg

Recently Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society received a Regional District of Nanaimo Grant-In-Aid. The grant supported the new acquisition of a book cart and the purchase of new library resources.

The good people at Express Custom Mfg. Inc fabricated the resource cart to our specifications, including the colour of turtle green.

Our new library on wheels

The Oceanside Stroke Recovery Library Book Cart is now loaded with publications and books for our members to borrow. Some of the materials include “The Defiant Mind” by Ron Smith and “My Stroke of Insight” by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor.

Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society members are very grateful for the RDN Grants-in-Aid program, as well as the Express Custom Mfg. Inc for their expertise in constructing our cart. Several of our members were involved in this project as well. It is extremely gratifying to live in this community where folks can help one another.
