Ron Smith, author of “The Defiant Mind: Living Inside a Stroke” will be speaking at our Feb. 10 meeting.

Ron is the BC author of four collections of poetry, a book of short stories, a play, a kid’s book and many more. His poetry has been translated and published in Italy.

The Defiant Mind: Living Inside a Stroke is a first-person account of a massive ischemic stroke to the brain stem. Smith takes the reader inside the experience and shows how recuperation happens.
