Happy Canada Day 2018! This year Oceanside Stroke Recovery joined the Qualicum Beach Canada Day parade sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76. Our co-ordinator did a fabulous job organizing our members who participated! Thank you, Kathleen! You are an amazing spirit! Perhaps that is why OSRS won the “Best Spirit” prize. Thanks to Don Shadbolt for driving his little red Miata and loaning his electric tricycle that Bonnie Stone had fun riding in the parade. Our scooter team this year was Jim Werdal and Rick Turner. Our very fit walkers were Kathleen Falvia, Anne Van Oostrum, Kathy Werdal and Bernice Prior. Our oldest member, Anne Quaade had the pleasure of riding with Don in the open convertible.
