Our stroke recovery group has been operating as a volunteer organization in the Oceanside community area of Vancouver Island since 1986.  We provide post-hospital support and programs for stroke survivors to recover to the best of their abilities. We offer exercise therapy, speech therapy, music sessions with Doug, occupational therapy, caregiver counselling, social and recreational activities and peer support, all designed to promote healing.

Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society is incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia and registered with Canada Revenue Agency as  a charity organization. We are not affiliated with any other organization(s).

Our Team

Our Board of Directors consists of 9 volunteer members. These include  stroke survivors, caregivers and volunteers who meet once a month to plan our ongoing programs and manage the operation.

Our Message

Never give up hope and never stop trying. We have seen with our own eyes that being determined to get better makes a big difference. You can keep on improving.
