Donor Support

Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society is totally responsible for all of our expenses. Funds raised and donated are all used to cover the cost of locally provided services. These expenses include providing professional therapists, rent, janitorial services and incidental administrative costs. Since our aim is to supply top quality programs using professional therapists to our members, these ongoing expenses are high. In addition many hours of volunteer direction and help are the core of our operation.

All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated, be they:

  • individual donations,
  • bequests from past members,
  • in memoriam donations,
  • service club or faith group donations,
  • business and corporate donations, or
  • grants from local, municipal or provincial government program and services

Annual fundraising is carried out in the community by our stroke survivors, their spouses/caregivers, volunteers and friends. Our fund-raising activities include, but are not limited to:

    • membership fees,
    • raffles,
    • concerts, and
    • garage sales.

We welcome your contributions to these efforts, your ongoing suggestions to raise donations and your small-group fund-raising activities.

Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society has been granted status as a registered charity by Canada Revenue Agency. We will issue Income Tax Receipts for donation of $20 or more on request.

Please think about making an annual donation or a legacy donation to help local stroke survivors and caregivers.

We are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the Oceanside community. We would like to thank Smart Move Services Estate Liquidation Service (June Wood and staff) for the generous sponsorship of our website development and hosting.

Volunteer

You can make a difference in the life of a stroke survivor.

  • Do you have three or more hours per week available to contribute as a volunteer?
  • Are you patient, compassionate and friendly?
  • Do you enjoy working with a team of enthusiastic people?

Your service as a volunteer would be a valuable asset to Oceanside Stroke Recovery Society, either on a weekly basis or as a helper at one of our special fundraisers. (Garage sales, raffles, etc.)
For more information email or call our Coordinator.

We appreciate the time and effort given by our corps of volunteers and welcome new volunteers.

Contact us if you think you may be able to help!
